Welcome.  This is just the beginning of what may become a truly transformative set of actions that can and aims to liberate women and ultimately humanity from the oppression of male dominance and abuse, even liberating men from this paradigm along the way because it is as destructive to them as it is to us.

First and foremore it is about women, by women, for women…
to heal, recover from and grow despite having suffered under the hands of outside or inside abuse or limiting programming in any form.  It is about reclaiming your right to BE, healing and then, thriving in a new clear, healthy and strong direction.

The Plan:

1) Recovery-Women and girls abused in the world (esp. trafficked, enslaved and oppressed) enter into a phase of recovery and healing.  Many modalities and programs will be used in the process of helping these women recover themselves and their dignity on a path of healing.  Since true and deep healing is a slow and possibly lifelong process, it will be continually revisited and nurtured and can be an ongoing process for these women; but the initial phase of healing is to help them get back on their feet to live whole and strong again.
When the time is right, the women move onto the empowerment phase...

2) Empowerment-After a time of initial healing, the women/girls will enter into a phase of internal strengthening.  Full healing can take a lifetime so it becomes an ongoing process that will be shared with the women.  Adding an empowerment phase helps to bind these newfound lessons into an action phase with such modalities as martial arts, self-esteem workshops, ropes course/rock climbing and similar trust and strength building programs.  They will take all of these tools into the next phase…

3) Part of empowerment and healing is knowing what you are capable of and discovering the talents that live within you.  In the Education and Retraining phase, the women/girls will have an opportunity to learn the educational basics as well as new skills and knowledge; everything from math, science, English to herbal medicine/medicine making, gardening, growing your own food, making your own products (bodycare, clothes etc).  These skills in turn will become what the women/girls will use to maintain the costs of the program whereby various businesses will be set up to generate income, such as selling farm grown food and hand made products.  The women will run these internal businesses, thus empowering and enabling themselves in this process of healing as well as supporting themselves through these endeavors which also enables Project Artemisia to bring in new women to help heal on an ongoing basis.

4) Speciality Skill Training-Beyond basics of survival and development, there will be a speciality skills department and training so that these women/girls will have a myriad of skills to bank on and use in the world to survive/thrive and NEVER be vulnerable again to the opportunistic predators in the world who end up using them for profit because they are vulnerable and not economically independent.
The women can learn things like automobile/motorcycle mechanics, administrative/office work, sales(retail/wholesale/customer service), hospitality & management, hosting, childcare, esthetician/beauty, floral & interior design, bodycare/massage, herbal and/or nutritional medicine consultant or maker.  In addition to some of the labor trades like construction, plumbing and electric along with basic carpentry and so on. (more skills will be added in time and based on common job markets around the world).

5) Flying the Coop-Business Development.  
Once they have skills and various years of training and healing, not only will Project Artemisia as a whole be running various businesses that support itself and the women/girls, but then Project Artemisia will help support or enable these women who feel they are ready to go back out into the world and either start their own company or become part of an existing one by either funding them and being paid back over time minus a contribution or becoming part owner and funding them.  We will continue to help them navigate the world, contend with societal expectations and demands, learn to interview and write a good resume and work alongside other new people.  If they decide to run their own business, PA will help with startup costs and create a payback plan so that in time, the women can be complete owners of their businesses and become yearly donors to PA to support future businesses for the students of Project Artemisia.

Recruitment of more women and girls is always ongoing.

The goal of all this besides helping women recover from worldwide abuse, is to create a self-supportive reciprocating system that enables and empowers women from the ground up and continues to do this until the world is essentially, fundamentally different in a better way.  It is possible to change the paradigm/system of how the world functions as it does so from a competitive, oppressive, exploitive, opportunistic and destruction fashion that primarily serves a small owner/ruling class and exhausts/abuses the poor/working class;  Further creating an imbalanced world.  I do believe it's possible to change this paradigm through PA over time.  :)

As of now, it's just in it's baby phases of gestation and will hopefully come to life at the end of 2015 or beginning of 2016.  As the founder and creator of this, I myself am still in a rebuilding and recovery phase from the wounds in my life.   I have created an herbal medicine business from scratch that is growing rapidly and excitingly and saving my life in the process.  I want to use this in the future as a launching point for Project Artemisia and find other like-minded folks to work and build this organization into something profound and powerful.  And from that, grow outward into the world.
